International Women’s Club

The International Women’s Club welcomes you to Cape Town – South Africa.

A dynamic group of women who will ensure that your entry into our community is memorable !

We invite you to contact us,  so as to make your arrival into our beautiful city , pleasurable and exciting.

Founded in 1977, the International Women’s Club of Cape Town is non-political, non-denominational and non-commercial. It is a registered non-profit organisation.

With a membership of 500 women from over 35 countries including our own, we are in a position to offer you friendship, support and encouragement.

The many and varied activities we organise give our members an opportunity to explore the attractions of the Cape in small groups, thus creating a perfect ambience for camaraderie and friendship.

Our organisation has a very strong Philanthropic focus. Any surplus of income is donated to our favourite charities.

At 10:00 for 10:30 on the 1st Thursday of every month from February to November we have a general meeting at the Kelvin Grove Club - Newlands – Cape Town. Speakers are invited to address us.

Our Club has a group of very special ladies called ‘Caring Friends’ who are affiliated to the Open Door Networking Forum. In their neighbourhoods, these ladies lend a helping hand to any member who needs advice on local matters or just a friend to talk to. They are only a phone call away and are always willing to assist new members who are finding their feet in a new country.

The International Women’s Club is a worldwide organisation.

The OPEN DOOR Networking Forum is an umbrella body that was formed to help members of International Women’s Clubs make contact with one another. It has become a network of over 80 clubs and over the years has been of enormous value to those involved.

In addition to the support available to members who are relocating internationally, support is also provided to members traveling abroad

Throughout the network, celebrations take place on a regular basis to which IWC Cape Town members are invited and often attend.
